How the Fastio number is built
The calculator tests every Fastio plan that holds your team and picks the lowest monthly total of three parts.

AI credits, explained
Every plan includes a monthly credit allowance: 100,000 on Starter, 600,000 on Business, and 3,000,000 on Enterprise. AI work, downloads and storage beyond your plan's included amount all draw from this shared allowance first. Included credits reset monthly and do not roll over. Usage above your allowance costs $10 per 100,000 credits.

Monthly plans start with a 14-day free trial. A card is required and $0 is due today. Each trial includes free AI credits, separate from and smaller than the paid allowance: 50,000 on Starter (worth $5), 100,000 on Business (worth $10), and 150,000 on Enterprise (worth $15). When the trial credits run out, the trial ends early and the plan starts billing.

Methodology and assumptions
The calculator compares public US list prices checked on October 30, 2026, using the rules below.
- For Fastio, the calculator prices every plan that holds your team and picks the lowest total of plan price, extra seats and usage beyond the included credits.
- For other vendors, it prices the plan closest to what a Fastio plan includes: an AI assistant where the vendor sells one, shared storage and sharing controls. Each card below names that plan and why. A lower-priced plan that also holds your team is listed under the vendor's row, never left out.
- Each per-user price is multiplied by your team size, or the vendor's minimum. When the compared plan cannot hold your team or storage, the calculator moves up to the vendor's next plan.
- When every plan states less storage than you enter, it prices the plan with the most storage and flags it. When no plan holds your team, it says so instead of guessing.
- The starting inputs describe a team of 10 with about 1 TB, 200 GB of downloads and 50,000 credits of AI work a month. Change them to match your team.
- Monthly billing is the default. The toggle switches every vendor to annual prices, shown as a monthly figure.
- Microsoft 365 and Egnyte list only yearly prices, so the calculator uses those prices under both billing options and labels them.
- Fastio annual plans cost $99 a year for Starter, $499 a year for Business, and $1,999 a year for Enterprise, and they start paid with no trial. Usage is billed monthly on both.
- Trial credit days assume your usage is spread evenly across a 30-day month.
- Figures are estimates, not quotes or invoices. They exclude taxes, promotional discounts and vendor add-ons.

Do we need to migrate files out of SharePoint or Google Drive?
No migration is required. Files sync in from Google Drive, Dropbox, Box and OneDrive, including SharePoint libraries through OneDrive for Business. Sync runs one-way or two-way, on a schedule or on demand, and one-way sync never changes your source drive.
How do we limit which files Claude or ChatGPT can reach?
Access is set per workspace, not per folder. On connect, a Review Permissions screen picks which workspaces Claude or ChatGPT can reach and sets Read Only or Read & Write access. A workspace service account gives one agent its own key to one workspace.
How does Fastio charge for seats?
Starter includes 3 seats, Business includes 10 seats, and Enterprise includes 30 seats. Enterprise adds seats at $1 per seat per month, up to 200. Every plan includes the MCP server, CLI and REST API.
What happens if our team uses more than the monthly credits?
Usage beyond your plan's monthly credit allowance is billed at $10 per 100,000 credits. AI work, downloads and storage above your plan's included amount all draw from the same monthly allowance first. Unused credits reset each month and do not roll over.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Monthly plans start with a 14-day free trial. A card is required and $0 is due today. Trials include free AI credits: 50,000 on Starter (worth $5), 100,000 on Business (worth $10), and 150,000 on Enterprise (worth $15). The plan starts billing early if those run out. The organization owner can cancel anytime in Settings, then Billing.
What encryption, sign-in and admin controls come with each plan?
Files are encrypted at rest and in transit, and every plan includes two-factor authentication, version history and an activity log. Shares support passwords, expiry dates and turning downloads off. Enterprise adds SSO with SAML, OIDC and SCIM, legal holds, audit log export, an audit stream to your SIEM and admin policies.
What if we need more than 200 seats?
Enterprise includes 30 seats at $199.99 a month and adds seats at $1 per seat per month, up to 200. Teams above 200 seats contact sales for pricing.
How current are the other vendors' prices?
Each price is the vendor's standard published US rate, read from its own pricing page on October 30, 2026 and cross-checked against at least two independent sources. The cards above link every source. Prices exclude tax, promotions and add-ons. Vendors change them, so check the source before you buy.
