No desktop software to install. No zipping and re-uploading. Just connect, pick, and go.
Connect account
Authorize Fastio to access your Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive account. We use OAuth so your password is never shared with us.
Select folders
See your full folder tree and pick exactly what you want to bring over. Import one folder or an entire drive. Your call.
Fastio imports
Your files transfer in the background with folder structure fully preserved. Nested folders, naming conventions, permissions context: all intact.
Files added
Imported files land directly in your Fastio workspace, ready for your team and AI agents to search, preview, and work with immediately.
Why bring your files to Fastio?
Turn scattered cloud folders into one workspace your team and agents can search, preview, and use immediately.
AI-Ready Files
Once imported, Ripley AI can search across your documents, summarize reports, and surface the files you need. Your old Google Drive folders become part of a workspace that understands context.
One Home for Everything
Stop bouncing between three different storage providers to find a file. Import what matters into a single workspace where your whole team, and your AI agents, can access it.
Cloud sync
Coming soonImports are a clean snapshot today. Continuous two-way sync is on the roadmap, so connected folders can stay updated automatically once it ships.
Not just connected accounts. The open web.
Paste any public URL and Fastio pulls the file straight into your workspace. A dataset, a PDF report, an image, a font, an export from a tool that has no connector: if it has a link, it can land in Fastio. No download to your laptop, no re-upload.
- Pull assets from the open web, not only from accounts you have already connected.
- Agent-native: your AI agents can hand Fastio a URL through a consolidated MCP toolset and write the file straight into a shared workspace.
- Once it lands, the file is searchable and previewable like everything else in your workspace.

Common questions, answered.
Which cloud storage services can I import from?
Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and Box through a connected account, plus any file reachable at a public URL. The URL path covers exports from tools that have no dedicated connector: if it has a link, it can land in Fastio.
Does Cloud Import preserve my folder structure?
Yes. Nested folders and naming conventions arrive intact, so you are not rebuilding a hierarchy by hand after the transfer finishes.
Do I have to download files to my computer first?
No. Transfers run server to server in the background, so nothing routes through your laptop and there is no download-then-reupload step.
What can I do with files once they are imported?
Imported files behave like anything else in the workspace. They are searchable and previewable immediately, and Ripley AI can search across them, summarize them, and surface the ones you need.
Can an AI agent import files without me doing it manually?
Yes. An agent can pass Fastio a URL through a consolidated MCP toolset and write the file straight into a shared workspace, so the import happens as part of the agent's work rather than as a separate manual step.
Is Cloud Import a one-time transfer or an ongoing sync?
Cloud Import is a transfer: you choose what to bring over and Fastio imports it. Continuous cloud sync is a separate capability that is still in development and is marked as coming soon on this page.
